I’ve just moved into a silverfish infested apartment and filed a complaint for pest control. My landlord saw this and told me it’s not a big deal and that they are harmless. Well considering I almost slipped on the floor yesterday from jumping out of the bathtub because one crawled in from the water drainer, I would say otherwise. I want to file a legal complaint to. A hygeine board or something because she just brushed it off as if it was nothing. These things are everywhere on the floor at night, and our place now is very clean. I live in oakville, ontario so do you know any boards where I should write to?

Please help if anyone has any advice!!

My Boyfriend has contracted some sort of skin disorder and we are both becoming concerned about it. He is new to NYC and is not making much money. He is living in a shared apartment and rents a room which is not extremely sanitary.

For a few months now he’s had a rash of small bumps all over his body that is extremely itchy. He went to a clinic which is supposed to be discounted but still had to pay 95.00 for an office visit. The doctor diagnosed him with Scabies and my roommate and I were also treated. After two treatments he is not much better. He woke up this morning with a new crop of itchy spots on his arms and legs. He went back to the clinic and saw another doctor who told him he didn’t think it was scabies because the marks looked too large. He suggested Fleas but there are no animals except for a few parakeets in his apartment. The Doctor gave him another course of scabies treatment as a precaution. The doctors have only been looking at his condition with a naked eye and not testing it or viewing it under a microscope to see if it is truly scabies.

The situation seems to be getting worse and he cannot afford to keep going back to the doctor for 95.00 a pop. Or to keep washing all of his laundry and treating himself with medication that doesn’t seem to work.

If anyone has
1.as suggestion as to what this could be other than Scabies. Or if it seems like a skin condition caused by the scabies treatment.

2.advice about FREE clinics in NYC where he could get more extensive testing and a more thorough analysis of his condition.

My landlord is too cheap to hire professional pest control and the adjacent unit is complaining of bugs. So his solution is to use a cockroach fogger in our shared attic. I refused since I have a 12 month old in the house and he wants to do it while we are home. So he plans to use it on the other side, but the attic is shared! It will most certainly come into my side. I’m freaking out right now because I dont think he even plans on telling me when he is going to use it! The directions say no one should be in the house for 4 hours and it should be aired out for 30 minutes after that. What do I do? What right do I have? I live in south florida and honestly any bugs come from outside, not an infestation.

ok so on monday i played with my dog and rubed his back-no cut on tuesday i say good bye to him and go off to skool-no cut but on tuesday while im at school the pest control ppl came to my house
i come home to play with my dog and he is is sitting in his cage with a 1 inch cut on his back but there is no blood i thought i could have been the pest control ppl like they could have clean up the blood o watever but i just dont know is there such a deases tht creats a wide cut ?

I’ve tried employing professional bed bug pest control people, but nothing seems to
kill the beg bugs from root they reapper again in 2 weeks.
i’ve spent a good amount of money already.
is there any home made remedy to kill the bed bugs permanently?

Ok so my boyfriend and I have been together for 11 months and we sleep over eachother’s houses and such, but we are not allowed to sleep in the same bed at my house. About 4 months ago I had a talk with my mom about it and she said that she just doesn’t want me to get pregnant and stuff. So, I made the desicion to go on birth control because I had a feeling my boyfriend and I might become sexually active eventually (we haven’t yet) and also to regulate my periods.
Now that I am on birth control my mom said that we could sleep together, and she promised but my mom always goes back on her promises and she just says things to make me happy and to get me to stop bugging her about it but then when the time comes and he is here she says no, despite the fact that i’m on birth control, we haven’t had sex, and she promised.

So, what should I do? I can’t think of any other way to prove to my mom and dad that we just want to sleep together in eachother’s arms and not have sex. I’m on birth control and I even suggested that they have him sleep on a sleeping bag on my bedroom floor to prove to them that they can trust us and they still said no to that?

Don’t you think it’s at least fair to let him sleep on the floor of my room? I could compromise to that because then we would still be able to talk because when he’s over my mom seperates us for bed at 10pm and for a 17 year old high school senior that’s rediculous to be forced to go to sleep at 10 on a saturday night because that’s when my parents go to sleep and they don’t want us sneaking into the same bed.

Help me find a way to convince them!! At LEAST to convince them to let him sleep on my floor. I can wait on the same bed scenario when we’ve been together longer

Oh and just for the record I understand i’m not 18 yet, but i’m a 17 year old senior graduating high school in 3 weeks and going off to college in the fall.

I have to do an internship to graduate and I found it in England, London more exactly. I have been renting a room in a flatshare since January 20th 2011.

I started to get bitten only a couple of days after I moved in. At first I thought it was like spiders bites or something. I kept being bitten every night. I started to tell about this around me and some people suggested that it might be bed bugs. I had never heard of this then. So I did some research and started to get concerned and try to convince myself that it was not this.

But this problem did not stop so I called my agency to ask for a new bed or if there was anything they could do. I had just been said to buy a spray. I was still hoping it could not be this.

Last Monday, my boyfriend slept with me and he got bitten in the middle of the night and killed the beast who bit him and he told me blood came out and that it was a bed bug. We called the agency and they told me today that they would get me a new bed today.

The thing is there is wooden furniture in the room and carpet on the floor so I am not sure just changing the bed will resolve the problem. And I am guessing now that my stuff (clothes, luggage) must be infested too. I have been bitten almost every night for three months now so most of my stuff must be infested.

I asked the agent to call a professional pest control and he said he would take care of this. But I don’t want the new bed to be infested in the meantime they inspect my room. I will have to wash all my clothes now and my luggage. I don’t want to bring this to France when I get home. Even though there will be a professional control in my room, well hopefully, I am still afraid that the problem won’t be resolved. I can’t just leave the room because I have not finished my internship and I will have to give one month notice before moving out but I don’t really feel like staying there now. Plus I can’t afford an expensive rent and the one I am paying right now is not too expensive and all the bills are included. I think I can’t find something which would be fairly decent for the same price.

Last night, I could not sleep and the lumps are really itchy. I already have some skin condition (Eczema) and the bites don’t help at all.

I am really afraid to bring those beasts to France. My sister is over for the week and we will have to be very careful I guess so she doesn’t bring them at home.

What should I do? How can I get rid of bed bugs for good?

I have a tenant and his g/f that moved into one of our rental properties. The girl is very nice, always courteous to my husband and myself(we are the property managers, not the owners), then there is a matter of the b/f. Within a week of moving in, the girl informed us of 2-3 problems that we didn’t know about. I scheduled a plumber to come fix the issues(they were a concern but not emergent) and called the girl to give her a date and time, and she agreed. That same morning at 3am, the b/f is calling my phone, cussing and complaining about the problems. The next morning, i called the girl(she is actually the only one in the house that qualifies income-wise for the property, and is the first person on the lease) and I explained to her that I cannot have him calling me at 3am for repairs that I cannot make at that time. I told her we accept calls from 7am-9pm for NON-EMERGENT calls. She agreed and said she would speak to the b/f, which she did and all was good..until March. He called me saying he wanted my residential address(i live very close but she doesn’t know this), I gave him the PO Box that we use, and he was upset, screaming and going on and on that he wanted a REAL PHYSICAL ADDRESS. I apologized and told him that if he had a problem , i could give him the owners number and he could discuss it with them, to which he declined(he said he didn’t want me picking up his rent on the first, he wanted to mail it, which is strictly against our policy since we change air/heat filters monthly, so why not do everything on the 1st anyway?). NOW, there has been another issue this month. We have a pest control contract on the house several times I have went over and escorted the exterminator, introduced him to the exterminator etc. I explained that I am pregnant and will no longer be able to escort the exterminator around(i cannot be around the chemicals currently). He agreed, and all was well, until today. The exterminator set up an appointment with me, I attempted to call him but got no answer. The exterminator went to the property and he refused to let him enter, saying that I didn’t give him proper notice, so he didn’t have to let him in. After I found this out, I called the other number that i have listed for them, which is the tenants cell phone. She informed me that he took her keys away, and will not allow her back to the property, she also warned me that he is very nasty, and will cause tons of problems for me, and that i will always require a witness to be around when i speak to him, because he will lie about things in a heartbeat. The girl explained that she wants to move back in, but cannot unless he is gone, and she also informed me that he does not qualify(income-wise) for the property. Tomorrow we have ANOTHER appointment with the exterminator to go there, what should I do?
so far we have not had a problem with the rent being paid… I asked the girl if the guy was going to be able to pay the rent, she said she wasn’t sure.(this is the first month that the girl is kicked out of the house)

we bought a old house, and i was just cleaning out my babys pack n play (she has never been in it before) but i just keep her toys in it, well i was horrified to find mice droppings in the bottom of it! I am soaking all of her toys in soapy hot water ready to wash them, but what can i safely disinfect her pack n play with? that will kill the germs so she would be able to use it? we are calling pest control but I doubt they would know what i can use for that..please help im so sickened by this!
